The coolest 404 page on the Net

… not the least if you are a Rolling Stones fan.

Know what a 404-page is?

It’s the page you land on when you can’t get what you want.

More precisely it means that the page or content you’re expecting to find by clicking a link on a web page just isn’t there.

Instead you land on a so-called 404 page.

Design and styling of 404 pages is not a new discipline in web design and website design. There have been many really funny 404 pages and over the years more and more companies have utilized their 404 pages for branding  – take for instance LEGO’s 404-page or The Movie Nerd’s 404-page.

The coolest 404 page on the Web: You can’t always get what you want

The Rolling Stones come close to the perfect match between system, web design and web content with their “You can’t always get what you want” 404 page design.

On The Rolling Stones’ website for their 2014 tour “The Rolling Stones On Fire” is one of the best 404 pages we have come across.

The Rolling Stones’ official website and their campaign and tour websites are made in WordPress.

The 404 page includes a concert video with The Rolling Stones playing “You can’t always get what you want“, live at Twickenham Stadium, London, August 2003.
